Hi, I’m Steph!

Your leadership journey was never meant to be traveled alone.

Trusted partners have been the backbone of my journey, personally and professionally.

As a former ultra-marathon runner, experienced business leader and executive coach to senior-level professionals over the last 15 years, I’ve come to know that thriving in leadership, and in life, requires trusted partnership.

Trusted partnership enables us to push past our comfort zones, pivot more effectively and transcend perceived limitations in order to achieve our greatest ambitions. Partnership helps people to find their edge.

I grew up in Vancouver and completed my Undergraduate Degree at the University of British Columbia, before moving to Toronto to pursue higher education and achieve my career ambitions.

After graduating with an MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, I went on to grow my career in the Professional Services, Education and Technology sectors.

I have been a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation since 2010, and started my formal coach training in 2005. I know from firsthand experience the value that a Professional Coach can provide in supporting people to perform at their best. I’ve worked with a Professional Coach for the majority of my career.

In working with me, you get a combination of recent leadership and business operating experience, as well as many years of formal coach training.

I have a wealth of work experience, from running my own coaching business for senior-level professionals to working as a Senior Consultant for Oliver Wyman and Deloitte.

I’ve also progressed in a global corporate training firm, ExperiencePoint, beginning as a Master Facilitator for the Fortune 100, and ultimately, the Managing Director. As the Managing Director, I led the company through the COVID-19 pandemic.

I know from recent, firsthand experience that leadership can be both incredibly demanding and rewarding.

my story:

My approach to coaching is anchored in my naturally friendly, calm and encouraging style. My demeanor makes people feel comfortable and reduces obstacles to productive, open discussions. Those who know me best say that I drive towards results, am strategic in my perspective and compassionate.

Leveraging my business background, and my experience living internationally in London and Hong Kong, I include relevant observations to help clients from around the world create focus and structure out of complexity and change, and drive toward the results they’re after. Using my coaching expertise, I help people to get clear and stay focused on what they truly desire, and provide a safe space and accountability to support them in realizing this.

I have a drive and entrepreneurial side to me, all the while wanting to leave things better than I found them. To this end, in 2008, I co-founded a charity, Run for One Planet, and ran 11,000 miles across North America to inspire environmental action. With funds raised during that run, I established a legacy fund that provides grants to youth-driven environmental initiatives in Canada.

Recognized by His Excellency the Right Honorable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, I was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2016 for my contribution.

You can now find me running after my two girls in Toronto.

my approach:

Caravel = Highly Maneuverable and Fast

A caravel is a small exploration ship developed in the 15th century that revolutionized transportation. It was created to sail into the wind against resistance, and made travel through unfamiliar waters available to explorers, merchants, and fishermen alike.

When you coach with me at Caravel, we’ll work to get you to where you want to be, despite obstacles that come your way. We’ll get you to where you want to be, fast.
